An enticing new knitting book: fabulous illustrations, an interesting story, and wonderful original knitting designs.
This book is a visual feast of colour, texture and history of Maria Island, a tiny island off the east coast of Tasmania. Artist's sketches, screen prints, drawings and photographs illuminate the pages and form the inspiration for the contemporary knitting designs.
A collection of eight designs (chapters) to knit based on places visited whilst journeying around the island. A fresh and unique approach to bringing together two disciplines: a fusion of visual art and contemporary knitting designs.
Created in collaboration by artist Prue Hutton and designer Sally Ord.
