The Genuine Donegal Tweed from Ireland, this modern yarn has a soft handle. Beautiful flecks of colour, having been spun in the traditional woollen spun method. Slight slub as you'd expect in a true Tweed in a 4ply/fingering weight single twist. This yarn has all the ingredients of the traditional homespun Donegal because it is just that.
Use in colour work or stand alone. Perfect for shawls, fine garments and children's wear. We also love it for blankets. It works well in combination with, or in place of, Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight yarn and Tukuwool Fingering.
