Mile High Merino is a collaboration between High Steaks Farming (the farmers) and 24 Mile Hollow Yarn Co (indie dyer) producing ethically grown, single flock, superfine merino yarn.
The sheep are raised on native pastures, high in the hills of the NSW Central Tablelands, just a stone's throw from our shop in Rylstone. The 17 micron wool is scoured and milled in Victoria. The yarn is then hand dyed in the Blue Mountains using low impact, acid dyes and the immersion and steaming methods. Whatever you create with this yarn is sure to become a favourite. We are thrilled to offer such a quality local product.
